Jimmy Is Promo has appeared to get hold of a genuine Note 20 Ultra device just as Samsung announced the official launch date will be at a virtual Unpacked event on 5 August, so if these leaks are genuine then we’re seeing the real deal about a month from launch. The video, below, shows the phone briefly compared to the blue Note 10 Plus from 2019. It shows the model number as SM-N986U and running Samsung’s One UI 2....

In a press release issued on 22 February, the South Korean tech giant committed to at least four years of security updates for Galaxy devices within its Z, S, Note, A, M, XCover and Tab series’. This is the best-looking Sony phone for some time, looking equal parts like a Pixel 2 XL and Galaxy S9 but with a unique glass back that you’ll either love or hate. We still aren’t sure it does enough for us to recommend it over those phones though, despite its high points. But credit to Sony – it has made a beautiful piece of phone hardware at a reasonable flagship price and improved in key areas....

The highly unusual spike began very suddenly on a single day, 19 August, taking the estimated number of clients connecting through a sample of several dozen mirrors to an astonishing 1.2 million per day, figures show. So if we are to ignore the differences in speed, capacity, features and so forth, does it really matter how old it is? Let’s start with the good, then. Available in various colours, of which our review sample is a refreshingly bright orange, the Pebble Verto has a funky design with a soft-touch rubber surface that’s great for grip. Unsurprisingly, given the name, it looks a lot like a pebble....

These drives used the Marvell 88SS1074 controller, 512MB of LPDDR3 cache memory and Sandisk’s 15nm TLC NAND modules. Their performance was fine, though not exceptional. Fortunately, it’s easy to work out whether overloading it or not, and we’ll explain how. First, note that UK sockets aren’t actually rated as 13A (13 amps). They’re typically on a ‘ring main’ which is fed from a 32A breaker or fuse. It’s usually the plug which is limited to 13A, but most electrical devices – certainly anything PC related – is much more likely to have a 3A or possibly 5A fuse....
